IN VIOLENCE is a personal art project, officially borned in 2012, focused on body that suffers and "lives" violence, both physical and psychological.
The violence is imprinted, unleashed, railed, exploited, smelled, touched, heared. What happens between violence and the environment that surrounds it, between the violence and the individual, exactly coincides with what happens between violence itself and art when it establishes a deep and intimate bond between them. Art is responsive, active and passive. As a reaction to the violence, it binds in a more intimate way that we can know with art. The art of violence or violence of art, in whatever way you want to call and combine it, combines two components that have the same reaction, making them explode in a counter-reaction. Violence and art act in every possible and imaginable way in order to bring the body to discover itself and to be discovered by the outside world. The sudden body, acts, upsets and surprises. It continues to do what it has always done: live and feel. It makes it with more and less confidence and greater willingness to risk. Risk in the relationship and interaction with people; risking the pain facing to violence; the excess risk with art. In any case, the body lives the consequences, both for its own actions as well as those that surround the environment in which it lives. The body is in possession of sensitivity, which makes it especially and particularly reactive. Arts and violence have strengthened and made manifest this reaction. A part of body has suffered, partly assimilated this reaction, finally changed into life experience. |
